Question by Marie K: How do I get cat pee odor out of a baby stroller?
Hi there, I was given an almost new double baby stroller, for my 15 month old daughter and my baby that's due in December. Only problem is that there is a cat pee smell I can't seem to get rid of. I took out the padding that was removable and washed it in the washer, which took care of the smell in that part. But the unremovable stuff still smells even though I washed it down with disinfectant mixed with hot water and febreeze. I saturated the whole thing with this mixture and it still has a lingering cat pee odor. What else could I safely do to try to get rid of this smell?

spray it with frebreeze
Put a baby in it.
After a few days the baby will absorb all the cat pee odor.
I have no idea how to get cat pee smell out of the baby.
Sorry.
Urine Gone may be your best bet, I have seen it in drug stores, and places like that, it can also be found online.
I had a cat that marked everything. It’s terrible, I’m so sorry.
I would try visiting PetSmart. They have a section with sprays and deodorizers for this type of thing. I found the best way to get the smell out of the carpet (yes, my male cat decided to mark the bed post onto the carpet) was to use a sponge and some pine sol or other floor deodorizers dilluted with water and scrubbed the area (it took more that one time) I found that the citrus smelling stuff worked the best. It eventually did take the smell out. I would continually deodorize the area, and perhaps a bit of Febreeze wouldn’t hurt either after everything else has been used.
Urine Gone is a good product. There are several enzyme based products on the market. Saturate the peed on areas and leave it. The enzyme liquid will digest the urine where it dwells.
If you tried scrubbing it and frebreezing it, then there is really no hope for the stroller but to throw it out. I’ve experienced this and it was a waste of a good stroller, but i didnt want kids riding around in it. Its unhealty and unsanitary.
Go to the pet store get a spray called Nature’s Miracle.
The kitty obviously is marking the stoller and baby smells as his. Cute but very annoying, eh?
Hand wash it adding 1 pound box of baking soda to your regular detergent. then air.If you can still see the stain or smell the urine, wash the item again and add an enzymatic cleaner or use/rent an extractor or wet-vac and follow the directions
Fill it full of cat litter, the kind with odor absorbing crystals… like they show on tv.
can you leave it out in the sun for a few days, that helps a little with cat urine
Try spraying with vinegar or lemon juice. Leave in the sun to dry.
We had a cat that peed on some hockey gear once. We washed the gear by hand with a lot of warm water and soap, rinsed well then we soaked it all 50/50 in white vingegar and cool water overnight. After that we rewashed it with warm water and soap and rinsed well , air dried. No more cat pee smell. Lots of work but it did the trick.
