Question by Lillie: What would you consider essential for newborns?
My husband and I are going through a financial planning class, and I'm trying to figure out a time line when it comes to purchasing items. With my son, I didn't get a lot of stuff, my mother in law bought most of it because it was her first grandchild. With my daughter, I went WAY over board and got a lot of items I didn't really need.

We have quite a few things from my first 2 children, but we also passed a lot of stuff to others and donated them to our local Pregnancy Care Center.

We have a pack n' play with the bassinet and changer, and we will be holding off on buying this baby a crib. We have a swing, and will be buying a new car seat. Clothes I'm not too worried about, but I'm curious about other essentials that you and your baby love.

I want to make myself a mobi wrap. I'm considering getting a bumbo seat (although, I might be able to get one from a friend) and I need a new boppy pillow badly. I'm planning to breastfeed. My daughter never took a bottle, but with my son he was sleeping through the night and around 4 months old, I didn't have enough milk anymore (plus a trip to the snow completely dried me out). I was thinking about getting one of those starter sets as for bottles, but leaving it at that. I'm also planning on getting a bouncer, the type they lay down in, and we still have our jumperoo from our older children.

Other then the items stated above, is there anything else that you have found to be great for you and your baby? I already have a double stroller and a high chair.

Personally I wouldnt waste your money on the bumbo. If you want something for the baby to sit up on, get a bouncy chair... they are WAY better.
If you plan on breastfeeding, I would wait until your are needing bottles before you get a set... I got one and my son will only breastfeed.
Sounds like you have alot of the essentials...

Question by jvzq88: What's the difference between an expensive bike and a cheap bike?
I recently bough the cheapest bike I could find at $ 53. It's an adult sized bike that says "Mt Fury" or something. I hear of bike costing 200-300 dollars. What are the benefits of these bikes. My school campus is VERY hilly, and I get tired easily going up hill. Could it be because of my bike?

There are bikes like Armstrong's cost is thousand or more.
Money buts you the best and lightest metal. The bike can weigh about couple pounds where the cheap on weighs 15 lbs so money talks and cheap walks. Better gears tires etc etc.....but are you capable of performing better or is it worth it.

hi there was just wondering if anyone could give me a bit more info on the icandy pear???

my son will be 14 months when my new baby arrives and i im going to buy the icandy pear from john leiws and hopeing too buy the extras from ebay **carry cot ect**

my main question is can you fit the icandy apple carry to the pear to use as a single?????

I don't know a lot about the icandy or pear, but just wanted to throw another option your way.

Have you seen the Baby Jogger City Select? The big advantage over the icandy is the seats both take children up to 15kg, whereas the icandy only has 1 seat at 15kg and 1 at 10kg.

It has options for seats (suitable from 6 mths) carrycot and carseats - or any mix of these. I like that the children are more level then the icandy which is very much one on top and one under.
I am using it with 9mth old twins and find it so good to push and navigate. It can also be used as a single buggy.
